01.17- 01.27 – It’s a scam known as CEO fraud. That’s cost businesses over $2 billion in less than 3 years. That’s an increase of 34%.
01.29- 01.57 – How to spot a scam. So how can you tell if your being scammed? Look out for these signs. 1. Being contacted out of the blue. 2. Being made an offer that sounds to good to be true. 3. Being asked for your bank details or an upfront payment. 4. Being pressured to make a quick decision. Sounds scary! But there’s actually a lot you can do.
01.58 – 02.34 – Staying safe from scams. Don’t open suspicious looking emails, attachments, texts or pop-up windows. And make sure your web links are secure before entering payment information. Memorise your pin. And never give out your bank details, passwords or personal information to someone you don’t know.
